Our whimsical, tactile little vegetable rattles are hand-knit of soft 100% cotton yarns in a rainbow of cheerful colors. They make a fun diversion for baby and can have extended life as play food when your child enters the toddler years and sets up pretend housekeeping. Set includes: 2 wiggly-jiggly carrots, cauliflower, radish and corn. Our set comes to us from California-based Yellow Label Kids and Hillary Sciarillo, a part-time teacher and full-time mother, who works with a collective of women artisans in Bangladesh to make ecological alternatives to mass-produced commercial toys. Yellow Label is a member of the non-profit Fair Trade Federation which provides a living wage, educational opportunities, and child and health-care programs for its members. Vegetables = 4 - 7 inches.
